His rendition of \u003cstrong\u003eLeonard Cohen\u003c\/strong\u003e's \"Hallelujah\" has been called some of his best work. The original material stands up to these covers as well. Check \"Grace\" and the classic \"Last Goodbye\" for starters. Despite the critical praise the album did not sell well initially. However, over the years it has continued to be a popular album.
